Concerning the Program

With assistance from Lucknow University and the Indian government, the National Service Scheme (NSS) at D.A.V. Degree College is formally established under the Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports. The motto of NSS, a voluntary, values-based initiative for young people, is "NOT ME BUT YOU."

Mission & Vision

Through nation-building exercises and the development of social and humanitarian skills, the D.A.V Degree College's NSS program seeks to inspire students to become progressive citizens.

By upholding core values—honesty and integrity, empathy, equality, transparency, and inclusivity—the program aims to promote diversity and social responsibility.

Student volunteers organize and lead events to address community issues in partnership with faculty mentors and advisors, cultivating socially aware behaviors and meaningful service.

Concerning NSS

The Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports oversees the National Service Scheme (NSS), a Central Sector initiative of the Indian government. It enables students and young people at schools, colleges, and universities to engage in community-focused activities.
